Peoplesoft Developer/Peoplesoft Technical Consultant/Peoplesoft Programmer. 6 Months Norristown, PA Primary skill: Peoplesoft Supply Chain Order Management system Peoplesoft Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly qualified Peoplesoft developer to complete projects in our Peoplesoft Supply Chain Order Management system. Project scope includes developing a web service that Sales Force system can use to pull supply order data from the Peoplesoft Order Management system. The candidate will be responsible for completing standard SDLC protocols for design, development, testing and implementation. The candidate must have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience working with Peoplesoft application programming, i.e. strong skills developing Web Services in Peoplesoft, SQL Writing/Tuning, SQR programs, Application Engine programs, Application Packages, Peoplecode, Integration Broker, PSQuery, Workflow, Security, etc. Programming knowledge in Unix Scripting and Windows BAT scripting is a plus but not required. Work requirements are someone that can work US ET hours onshore or offshore. Phone interviews will be accepted and may require multiple interview sessions. Duties and Responsibilities: Develop key product features and complex software solutions within existing large-scale enterprise applications and new strategic initiatives. Responsible for mentoring other less experienced resources, through technical challenges, tasks and projects. Consistently defines and applies technologies, standards and software engineering practices, mentoring other team members. Contributes in leading and directing software engineering resources to ensure quality and timely delivery of services. Develop key product features within existing large-scale enterprise applications & new strategic initiatives. Participate in the full SDLC involving design, implementation, testing, and launching. 7. Collaborate with cross-functional partners (QA, Business Analyst, Technical SMEs, etc in an Agile/Scrum team environment. Assist with the generation and analysis of business and functional requirements for proposed software solutions. Participate in and sometimes lead architectural and database design discussions as they relate to product direction. Create design specifications, documentation, and unit testing plans as defined by the Agile development process. Generate data for project planning, including task breakdown and estimation of work for a project. Tracks status within the project as necessary. Delegates tasks to project team members to balance work and increase team cross-training 13. Raises long-term architecture issues within project. Own the delivery of an entire piece of a system or application and serve as a technical lead on small to large complex projects. Build software solutions where the problem is not well defined. Design and define the interaction between the other component pieces. Maintain and support software solutions post-production. Implements and debugs some of the more involved/complex functionality. Qualifications: Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Work Experience: 5-10 years of functional and technical experience working with Peoplesoft FSCM. Proficient in application programming, SQR, Application Engine, Application Package, Peoplecode, Web Services, PS Query, Workflow, and Security. 5-10 years of professional experience in software development or technical engineering capacity. Others: Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented (OO) design patterns, distributed databases, and data modeling techniques. Ability to direct and motivate other technical resources. Ability to work well with people and be both highly motivated and motivating. Experience in development of distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications. Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Motivation to drive tasks to completion and take ownership of projects. The following skills are preferred: Unix and Windows Script development PL/SQL Visual Basic Scripting Java programming Experience in an Agile development environment utilizing the Scrum methodology. Experience with web or hosted/cloud-based applications that handle high-volume and require high-uptime and performance.
