Role Organizational Change Manager 69537

The Organizational Change Manager will play a key role in helping the project meet business, schedule and budget objectives. The Organizational Change Manager will focus on the people side of change including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. The primary focus will be creating and implementing organizational change management plans that minimize employee resistance and maximize employee engagement. The Organizational Change Manager will work to drive faster adoption, greater ultimate utilization, and higher proficiency on the changes impacting employees in the organization such that business results are achieved.

While the Organizational Change Manager does not have supervisory responsibility, this person will have to work though many others in the organization to succeed. The Organizational Change Manager will act as a coach for senior leaders and executives in helping them fulfill the role of change sponsor. The Organizational Change Manager will also support project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans. Finally, the Organizational Change Manager may provide direct support and coaching to front-line managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or another related field, and coursework in Organizational Change Management preferred

5 years of experience as an Organizational Change Management specialist leading business process transformation, at least some of which is related to the introduction of new technology

A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process

Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools

Experience in project management and in bringing innovative ideas to reality

Experience consulting and communicating with senior management teams

Results-oriented and customer-focused. Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with external and internal customers, including senior management

Strong, decisive leader with the ability to drive and manage change

Comfortable and effective in eliminating barriers and working across organizational, functional boundaries to achieve corporate objectives

Knowledge regarding business process redesign and strategic planning

Able to manage multiple conflicting priorities, reprioritize tasks, establish priorities,

work independently and meet deadlines

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to a complex and changing environment Experience working with detailed technical information and with technology; hands-on

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

Excellent active listening skills

Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts

Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others

Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges

Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle

Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics

Problem solving and root cause identification skills

Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations

Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal

Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences

Working experience with the State Government modernization projects is preferred

PROSCI Certification is preferred
