OCI Cloud Engineer

100% Remote

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Oracle OCI Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, manage, and support cloud infrastructure on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The role involves ensuring high availability, security, performance, and cost-effective cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage OCI infrastructure (Compute, Storage, Networking).
Provision and maintain OCI services including VCN, Subnets, Load Balancers, and IAM.
Deploy and manage Oracle databases on OCI (Autonomous DB, DB Systems).
Monitor cloud resources, performance, and security using OCI tools.
Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
Perform cloud migrations from on-premises or other clouds to OCI.
Troubleshoot OCI infrastructure, network, and performance issues.
Implement security best practices, policies, and compliance controls.
Automate cloud operations using Terraform, OCI CLI, or scripts.
Work closely with application, database, and DevOps teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Knowledge of OCI services: Compute, Networking, Object Storage, IAM.
Experience with Oracle Database on OCI (Autonomous, Exadata, DBaaS).
Understanding of cloud networking concepts (VCN, VPN, FastConnect).
Experience with Linux/Unix systems administration.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
Basic scripting skills (Shell, Python).
Understanding of cloud security and identity management.

Preferred Qualifications

OCI Architect or OCI Associate certification.
Experience in cloud migration and hybrid cloud environments.
Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
