Job Description :
The role involve migrations to AWS and on prem.
* Experience with Licensing and Cost Modeling Oracle Databases in AWS vs On-prem
* Strong knowledge / experience in RAC and Oracle monitoring and migration tools, AWS reports etc.
* Experience with zero downtime migration on large datasets
* Must be able to articulate differences in performance / resiliency / cost etc between running Oracle on RDS vs on EC2
* Must be able to present options to customer and provide recommendations.
* Strong knowledge of setting up Monitoring, Backups , Restores , DR etc.
* Knowledge of database migration tools GoldenGate, and Native Oracle migration tools as Dataguard, Transportable tablespaces is a must
* Must be able to perform hands-on DB migrations, troubleshoot issues and resolve performance issues
* Must be able to operationalize Oracle in AWS
* Must be able to understand customer use-cases and run PoCs to demonstrate value.
* Knowledge of cross platform migrations is a plus ( AIX to x86 or SPARC to x86)
* Knowledge of multiple versions of Oracle dating back to Oracle 9i through 12c is a plus
* Experience working in a Healthcare / regulated security focused environments is a plus.
