Data Administrator

Strong experience in Hadoop, Teradata and Oracle DBA

Hadoop:
Expertise in Cluster maintenance as well as creation and removal of nodes
Performance tuning of Hadoop clusters and Hadoop MapReduce routines. Perform optimization, capacity planning of a large multi tenant cluster
Backup and recovery. Troubleshoot issues related to backup failure and recovery process
Monitor health of the platforms and Generate Performance Reports and Monitor and
provide continuous improvements
Manage and review log files. File system management and monitoring.
Experience in Support and maintenance of HDFS
Job scheduling and monitoring
Experience on hive, hbase, sqoop, RDBMS and Hadoop eco system.
Coordinate with the infrastructure, network, database, application and business intelligence teams
Work with application teams to install operating system and Hadoop updates, patches, version upgrades when required.
Experience on NoSQL Database Administration MongoDB.
Working closely with development, engineering and operation teams, jointly work on key deliverables ensuring production scalability and stability

Oracle:
Strong in Backup and restoration
Strong experience working in OEM
Oracle RAC Configuration and maintenance and Data Guard
Experience working in PSU Patching and OS Patching
Experience working in Server builds and post build check activities
