Job Description :
We are seeking a Database Management Specialist to join our team on a long-term, 100% remote federal contract starting in August 2020.
Background Requirements:
BA/BS or equivalent and 3 years applicable experience
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
Responsibilities and Skills:
Leads software design, implementation, and integration tasks in a software development effort.
Data conversion and Oracle 18c are the focus
Hands on experience administering Oracle 11g, 12c, 18c, 19c and Microsoft SQL Server versions
Experience optimizing database solutions
Strong knowledge of Oracle Architecture and Concepts
Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Architecture and Concepts
Strong knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery scenarios with and without using RMAN
Good knowledge of Oracle Tools and Utilities, SQL Server Tools and Utilities
Experience using Oracle Enterprise Manager
Must have experience writing and optimizing SQL and PL/SQL
Must have experience writing scripts
Must have Oracle RAC, Multi-tenant, and Active Data Guard experience
Must have experience with high availability for Microsoft SQL Server
Strong knowledge of how indexes work and management of index statistics & fragmentation
Experience collaborating with development teams on physical database design activities and performance tuning
Must have good problem-solving and communication skills
Demonstrated experience with compliance management, including supporting audit activities, vulnerability management, and other security needs
