Operations Analyst II Location: Remote Duration: 22 week JOB DESCRIPTION: Salesforce brings the #1 CRM to small businesses. The role of Marketing Planning Sr. Analyst/Manager is to increase marketing efficiency and organizational agility through world class budgeting processes planning operational strategies and analytics to support the SMB Essentials marketing teams. In this role the Marketing Planning Analyst will manage the marketing budget and processes ensuring that all quarterly funds are spent efficiently and effectively within compliance guidelines. The Marketing Planning Analyst supports the entire marketing team with standardized and ad hoc tracking and reporting and will provide ROI analysis for trending and decision making. He/she will also develop and maintain a structured and centralized repository of the teams marketing assets. Responsibilities: * Support the SMB marketing teams in managing budgets and spending within 1 of the marketing program spend target each quarter. * Design implement and maintain budget processes reports and dashboards for budget stakeholders to better understand daily monthly quarterly and fiscal year spend details. * Conduct monthly and post-quarter reconciliations of all Marketing budgets and manage incremental and/or end of quarter EOQ budget requests and allocations. * Ensure that all purchase requisitions PRs are submitted on time and accurately recorded in Budgetforce Salesforce budget management tool Coupa purchase order tool and Meetingforce events/sponsorship/speaker contract review tool for Accounting and quarterly close purposes. * Review all statement of work SOWs insertion orders IOs and contracts to ensure accuracy of service and compliance with procurement and accounting guidelines. * Understand workflows interdependencies of Marketing spend among global Finance Accounting AP Strategic Sourcing cross functional teams. Be proactive to ensure adherence of process and procedures and to provide resolution of issues found. * Identify and recommend improvements for budget planning-to-spend process. * Manage the new supplier submission process and new vendor on-boarding within the internal supplier tool as well as accurate and timely supplier invoicing. * Train marketing teams on how to use the requisitioning tools and understand expense recognition rules to adhere to GAAP SOX compliance. * Produce and maintain ROI analysis dashboards and/or reporting across key marketing disciplines including awareness strategic events and campaigns. Present insights and recommendations on efficiency/effectiveness of marketing spend. * Build strong working relationships with business partners within Marketing and other cross functional groups. Sustain expertise for spend data accuracy in the company. * Maintain standardized campaign tracking processes recording and reporting for the entire marketing team. * Develop and maintain marketing asset repository including guidelines and comms for compliance and usage across marketing teams. Other Requirements: * Motivated self-starter with ability to work independently and to keep up in a fast paced environment. * Exceptional interpersonal leadership and communication skills verbal and written are a must to work and to collaborate across marketing teams. * Thorough understanding and experience in procure-to-pay end-to-end process. * Financial background is a plus. Knowledge of GAAP SOX compliance. * Strong Accounting background to understand expense recognition a plus. * Extremely detail oriented and analytical to ensure accuracy of numbers data and in completion of assignments. * Excellent system skills including Excel PowerPoint Oracle Coupa Salesforce. * Strong understanding of various marketing disciplines include product marketing digital marketing events marketing content marketing enablement and/or media planning. * 3-5 years of experience in Marketing Planning Strategy Marketing Operations Marketing Finance and/or Marketing Procurement.
