Summary of Duties

The role of SOA Admin, Senior is to assist in following the SOA tools and processes, as well as working closely with development, quality assurance (QA), and support teams to complete Operations within deadlines

 

Job Description

·         Install, configure and administer Weblogic12c/SOA/SOA CS on ORACLE CLOUD/LINUX/UNIX/SOLARIS/WINDOWS/Z-LINUX systems and automate administration scripts using JYTHON/PERL/SHELL/ANT.

·         Install, configure and administer WebSphere Application Server on LINUX  systems and automate administration scripts using JYTHON/PERL/SHELL/ANT.

·         Gather requirements, analyze, design and implement scripts in JAVA, JSP, PERL, SHELL, BATCH, ANT, JYTHON, JACL, XML, HTML and CSS as applicable to automate daily tasks.

·         Install, configure, administer and monitor tools to create builds and deploy them per schedules to enable continuous integration.

·         Assist/administer any other tools as needed per the new business requirements.

·         Troubleshoot, build and deployment issues on WINDOWS, LINUX, Solaris environments.

·         Work with the team members/vendors to resolve/troubleshoot any other technical issues as applicable.

 

Minimum Requirements

·         Bachelor’s Degree with 6 – 8 years of relevant work experience or Master’s Degree with 4 – 6 years of relevant work experience

·         Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related field

·         System Administration skills with 5+ years of CORE experience with SOA, WebLogic application servers for medium to large projects

 

Preferred Skills/Attributes/Experience/Certifications

·         2+ years of experience in JMS aware environments

·         1+ year of WebLogic/SOA Architecture (development experience)

·         Awareness CICD tools and/or AWS Cloud Environment System Administration skills with 5+ years of CORE experience with SOA, WebLogic application servers.

·         Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio, with a working knowledge of the rest of the Microsoft Office suite of applications

·         Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence

·         Manage Application Servers, Web Servers, SOA, SOA CS, MFT.

·         Monitors, configures and tunes clustered middleware application environments.

·         Design, implement and manage DR configurations.

·         Acquiring and applying upgrades and patches.

·         Utilize scripts/tools to automate installation, configuration, deployments, and monitoring.

·         Manage JCA Adapters including Apps Adapter, Database Adapter, File Adapter, FTP Adapter, JMS Adapter in Oracle SOA Suite.

·         Architecting, troubleshooting and working with vendors (i.e. Oracle on service requests).

·         Experience with providing support in a 24/7 application environment.

·         Hands-on experience in programming in JAVA, JSP, XML, and ANT.

·         Proficiency in J2EE concepts, Java 5.0/6.0, JSP, XML, HTML, JYTHON, PERL, SHELL, SQL and ANT scripting.

·         Excellent understanding of SDLC.

·         Working knowledge in AWS and Oracle Cloud.

·         Proficiency in RDBMS and/or Oracle DBMS and SQL command line tools.

·         Familiarity with AGILE methodology.

·         Demonstrated experience of leading a team.

·         Working knowledge of J2EE application servers like JBOSS, Oracle WebLogic, Apache Tomcat and Apache/IBM/iPlanet HTTP Server.

·         Ability to make optimum use of resources and creative analytical thinking.

·         Hands-on experience administering version control and defect tracking tools like IBM Rational. ClearCase, IBM Rational ClearQuest, Subversion, MS-VSS, JIRA.

·         Ability to understand/write PL/SQL code.

·         Debugging issues related to J2EE application servers/back-end scripts.
