Position Overview
This position requires an experienced technology project management professional and self-starter who is hands-on in day-to-day project management activities and can manage across teams and cross-functional and matrixed resources. They should be able to communicate with and influence senior management stakeholders, align resources to execute on project goals, and drive successful execution across all project areas. Key responsibilities of this role include:

Planning: Ensuring all project tasks are identified and captured in the project planning process. Defining and documenting project resource needs, budget, constraints and deliverables.
Execution: Responsible for keeping the project on track from a timeline, resource, and technology perspective and removing any barriers for the project team. Ensures all critical project issues are addressed and/or resolved prior to launch.
Business Process Improvement: Identifying and pursuing business process optimization opportunities in order to achieve a higher level of operational efficiency across the division.
Status Reporting: Communicating project progress to all business stakeholders and the project sponsor on a recurring basis.
Documentation: Ensuring all necessary project artifacts are being created and reviewed to gain appropriate business sign-off. Project artifacts include: the project plan, requirements documents, design documents, issues log, risk log, decisions log, project status reports, management presentations, and oversight of change management documentation/communications.
Problem Resolution / Managing Project Risk: Keeping tasks on track and ensuring all risks are documented, prioritized, and mitigated prior to production launch.
Meeting Facilitation: Leading key project meetings with the team, business partners, and stakeholders to reach desired outcomes.
Leadership: Managing a team through the end-to-end project management lifecycle in order to successfully launch the market data platform to both internal stakeholders and external clients.

This role will also drive key decisions across the project sponsor, management stakeholder group, and project team to gain agreement on project direction, scope, and business process changes. From a strategic perspective, this role will proactively recommend both project and process optimization opportunities, coupled with technology integration options (e.g. CRM/Salesforce, Reporting Tools, etc to increase operational efficiency and/or revenue opportunities.

Education, Certifications, and Experience
Education: B.A. or B.S. Degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or a similar discipline (MS Degree Preferred
Professional Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or PgMP (Program Management Professional) Certification is preferred.
At least 8 years in the project management field, specifically directing and/or leading projects and programs is required.
Previous BPI (Business Process Improvement)/Lean/Six Sigma experience is preferred.
Previous Business Analyst experience is required.
Previous Operational Business experience is preferred.
Previous Financial Services industry experience is a plus.

Effectively develops and communicates an efficient approach to solve complex business needs.
Demonstrated ability to develop alternative solutions to complex problems and recommend the best solution to the business and/or project team.
Demonstrated experience providing business resource/timeline estimations for moderate to complex efforts.
Flexible and able to learn quickly.
Extensive experience investigating complex business process issues and connecting the dots on a more strategic business level across departments when program issues arise.
Experience having created and managed moderate to complex project plans using MS Project.
Experience managing a moderate to complex project/program budget and resource allocations.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple project workload across a demanding stakeholder group(s
