Job Summary:
Candidate must be Green Card holder or a US citizen with ITAR complaint. (The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is the United States regulation that controls the manufacture, sale, and distribution of defense and space-related articles and services). Candidate should have worked on network BAU operations along with handling major incidents (P1 & P2).
Required Skills:
Routing protocols BGP, configuring BGP Communities and managing, OSPF, EIGRP
Good Understanding on LAN and WAN connectivity designs
Ability to configure Cisco Router Hardware: ASR and ISR
Switching - Cisco Nexus & Catalyst Switches like N5k, N7k, C9200, C9300, C9500
Configuring Cisco DMVPN & Zscaler Cloud for Internet traffic
Strong experience on Cisco Wireless Controllers / Access Points
Strong analysis on Cisco ISE and integrating with WLC and EAP TLS Authentication
Nice to have: F5 load balancer, Infoblox, Splunk, Thousand Eye, Meraki
Monitoring Tool: SolarWinds

Day-to-day responsibilities:
An onsite network support engineer typically handles a variety of support tickets and tasks to ensure the network operates smoothly and efficiently. Here are some of the daily operational tasks:
Monitoring and Maintenance:
Network Monitoring: Monitor network performance, including bandwidth usage, latency, and uptime.
Routine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks such as updating IOS upgrades, and checking hardware health (Software and hardware refresh of network devices)
Troubleshooting:
Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve network issues, including connectivity problems, hardware failures, and configuration errors.
User Support: Provide technical support to users experiencing network-related issues.
Configuration and Setup:
Device Configuration: Set up and configure network devices like routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
Network Expansion: Assist in expanding the network infrastructure by adding new devices and ensuring proper integration.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintaining Documentation: Keep detailed records of network configurations, changes, and incidents.
Reporting: Generate reports on network performance, issues resolved, and recommendations for improvements.
Collaboration:
Team Coordination: Work closely with other IT staff, including onsite EUC and offshore support teams, to ensure seamless network operations.
These tasks help maintain a stable and secure network environment, ensuring that all users can work efficiently without interruptions.
