Position: Network Security Lead
Location: Hybrid - Rancho Cordova, CA or Denver, CO
Duration: 6-12+ Months
Job Description
The Network Security Lead will design, implement, and govern enterprise network security architecture across data centers, cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), and corporate environments. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to drive secure connectivity, automation, and operational excellence across hybrid infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end network security architecture, including NGFWs, VPNs, SD-WAN (Prisma Access), segmentation, and hybrid connectivity.

Define and evolve Zero Trust and SASE security frameworks.

Manage MSP teams for network operations, monitoring, and incident response.

Implement AI/ML-driven automation for network visibility, threat detection, and configuration management.

Drive governance for firewall, proxy, and VPN administration while ensuring compliance and policy enforcement.

Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, SOC, and InfoSec teams to maintain consistent global security posture.
Required Skills & Experience:

8+ years in network security or infrastructure engineering; 3+ years in architectural or MSP leadership.

Proficiency in BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, MPLS, Infoblox, SSL/TLS, PKI, and hybrid cloud networking.

Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Python).

Knowledge of Zero Trust, SASE, and AIOps models.

Strong vendor management and leadership experience.
Education & Certifications:

Bachelor s or Master s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred: CCNP/CCIE Security, PCNSE, CISSP, AWS/Azure Networking certifications.
