Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Network Optimization Lead Engineer to oversee the performance, scalability, and reliability of enterprise network infrastructure. In this role, you will lead optimization initiatives, evaluate network design and capacity, and drive improvements to ensure seamless operations across large and complex environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical leadership, and deliver solutions that enhance availability, throughput, and security.

This role requires deep hands-on expertise in network architecture, routing, switching, performance tuning, automation, and network monitoring tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure.

  • Perform in-depth network analysis to identify performance issues, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Develop and maintain network performance baselines, KPIs, capacity planning strategies, and scaling frameworks.

  • Oversee routing, switching, WAN/LAN, SD-WAN, wireless, and load balancing optimizations.

  • Implement network automation and orchestration solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.

  • Conduct performance testing, incident resolution, and root cause analysis for network outages or degradation.

  • Ensure network security, compliance, redundancy, and disaster recovery readiness.

  • Collaborate with architecture, security, cloud, and operations teams to align network design with business needs.

  • Prepare technical documentation, optimization reports, and executive-level summaries.

  • Mentor engineering teams and guide best practices for performance engineering.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 12+ years of professional experience in enterprise networking, performance engineering, and optimization.

  • Strong expertise in routing and switching technologies (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN).

  • Hands-on experience with SD-WAN platforms, network QoS, load balancing, and traffic engineering.

  • Advanced knowledge of WAN optimization techniques and network performance measurement.

  • Experience with automation tools such as Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar.

  • Proficiency with monitoring and analysis tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, NetFlow, SNMP, ThousandEyes, etc.)

  • Strong understanding of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid connectivity.

  • Knowledge of network security principles, firewalls, VPNs, NAC, and segmentation.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex network transformations.

  • Ability to lead teams, communicate clearly, and manage stakeholder expectations.

  • Preferred certifications: CCIE, JNCIE, CCDP, AWS/Azure networking certifications.
