Job Description :

Role : Network Engineering Consultant

Work Location: Onsite- The project is located approximately four miles southeast of Toston, MT, on the Missouri River.

Contract Term: 5 years contract

Job Description:

The consultant will provide technical expertise and engineering support, technicians, and drafters. Upgrades must meet current applicable industry standards and be completed in a manner to minimize facility outage time. Work must be coordinated with contractors upgrading other systems. All completed work must be documented with final record drawings, reports, and manufacturer s literature such as cut sheets, installation instructions, and maintenance manuals.

 

Work may include but is not limited to:

Overall System Assessment:

o Conduct a comprehensive system review to understand the interactions among different elements

Network Upgrades:

o Conduct a detailed review of the existing Network

o Develop recommendations for phased improvements

o Install maintenance patches and new releases

o Install and customize equipment and software as required

o Install new cabling

o Conduct commissioning and operator training

Emergency Response and Technical Support:

o Provide rapid response to critical system failures

o Diagnose and resolve Network-related issues

o Implement corrective actions to prevent future failures

All work, except emergency, will be completed by Task Order. Each Task Order will define the specific scope, deliverables, timeline, and budget. The Client reserves the right to modify Task Orders, add new Task Orders as project needs evolve, or delete Task Orders as required.

Cybersecurity Improvements and certification

WIFI Additions

Camera Additions

Network Expansions

Firewall Installation and upgrades

Server Installation and upgrades

Establishes communication protocols

Qualification and Experience

Interested firms must demonstrate:

Expertise in maintaining and upgrading Networks in a hydropower environment.

Ability to provide 24/7 support with on-site emergency response.

Proven track record with similar contracts and projects

Ability to comply with Client policies, industry, and regulatory standards.

Ability to maintain confidentiality, including information that may be classified as Critical Energy Infrastructure Information (CEII) or Privileged by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
