Job Title : IT Network Engineer
Location : Coatesville, PA or Cleveland, OH
Job Type : Contract- 8 months

Immediate opening for an IT Network Engineer. Qualified candidates will provide expertise and support, or work with internal subject matter experts, to design, modify, install, and maintain the network infrastructure. This position will require corporate policies and standards to be upheld, performance objectives to be met, equipment maintenance to be performed, project plans to be constructed, change management practices to be followed, and communications to occur with management and peers to proactively effect positive network changes.
Responsibilities:
- A significant amount of time will be spent replacing network equipment
- Establishing the network environment by:
- adhering to standards and best practices during hardware installation
- creation of and updating documentation
- providing for backup and restoral of equipment
- Maximizing network availability, reliability, and performance through:
- monitoring, troubleshooting and scheduling upgrades
- hardware and cabling redundancy implementations
- lab testing
- collaboration on designs with network architects, hardware selections and IOS software selections
- Securing the network by enforcing security policies and best practices
- Install and support VOIP, business, operation technology and process automation LANs
- Providing support for after normal-business-hours of operation, and weekends (infrequent)
Qualifications:
Education:
- B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering
Experience Required:
- 5+ years of network experience within an Enterprise IT environment
- Experience troubleshooting category 6 and fiber cabling
- Subject matter expertise in Cisco network support and design
- Strong Routing and Switching experience (EIGRP, VPC, VLAN traffic engineering)
- Proficiency with router ACLs and network security concepts
- Experience with DNS (Domain Name Service)
- Experience with authentication systems such as RADIUS, TACACS+, SSO, LDAP+
Experience Preferred:
Candidates are required to wear PPE ( Personal Protective Equipment) as needed in some locations within the plant. This typically includes Safety glasses, hard hat, steel toed-metatarsal shoes, and long sleeve shirts. Some locations require specialized clothing (fire retardant and/or arc proof) clothes and/or use of gas monitors. This position also requires a valid and personal auto insurance.
