Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Juniper Network Engineer to lead and execute a Juniper switch software upgrade project. This individual will be responsible for performing software-only upgrades of Juniper switches across multiple locations, validating device and workstation connectivity post-upgrade, and independently managing the upgrade process from planning through execution.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end Juniper switch OS upgrade project, including preparation, execution, validation, and documentation.

Perform OS upgrades on Juniper switches – software upgrade only, no hardware installation.
·
Validate post-upgrade functionality across all connected workstations and devices.
·
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the switch upgrade.
·
Work independently across various locations, including remote sites and the main hospital.
·
Execute upgrades outside of business hours – primarily during weekends.
·
Maintain strong communication with internal teams to ensure minimal disruption.
Requirements:

Strong, recent hands-on experience with Juniper switches – including software upgrades and troubleshooting.

Proven ability to lead network upgrade initiatives independently.
·
Experience validating network connectivity and resolving upgrade-related issues.
·
Comfortable working in hospital or healthcare environments (experience preferred but not required).
·
Ability to travel locally to multiple facilities.
·
Must be available to work weekends for the upgrade implementation.
·
Professional, self-starter with the ability to hit the ground running.
