Role:Sr Network Engineer Location:Remote Duration:6 months Must Haves: Network Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP) Linux commands/file system Cisco Scripting experience (must be hands on, at least 5 years experience) Requirements: 10+ plus years building and troubleshooting Cisco network routing and switching enterprise environments Network Routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP Network WAN technologies MPLS over mGRE, WAN MACSec, MACSec, MACSec As a Service Cisco Nexus Hardware Cisco Catalyst Catalyst 8500 Cisco ASR 9906 Good network fundamentals including the OSI model, TCP/IP, IPv4 and working knowledge of IPv6 Must be comfortable with Linux commands/file system Strong technical knowledge of IT enterprise systems and tools Must be able to create test scripts to test functionality and resiliency of infrastructure and environment Experience with IDS/IPS, network access control, load balancers and firewalls preferred Hands on experience with Cisco ACI multipod, multisite, golf and ACI contracts is a plus Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Device check listing ? validation that equipment is adhering to security, SAFR, and monitoring standards (Configuration Management Database (?CMDB?), Internet Protocol Address Management (?IPAM?), Network Management System (?NMS?), etc.) Device policy translation/optimization and migration to target infrastructure. Implement new environment, validate functionality and production readiness, document customer testing and operational sign off. Documentation of environment as built, including operational turnover, and visios. Establish and maintain documentation through best practice processes and procedures Participates in the development, deployment and support of automating the build of IT Solutions Ensures service targets and commitments are met as to delivery of IT solutions Perform project management activities for IT initiatives as required Provides assistances in leveraging technologies, processes, and disciplines for delivering best in class methods throughout IT Infrastructure Analyzes and revises existing system logic and documentation as necessary Directs technical discussions for both a technical and management audience Partners with our clients and other resources in detecting critical network and infrastructure gaps or deficiencies in the IT environment and recommends solutions for improvement Bhargavi Ankam IT Recruiter Staffing | Thoughtwave Software and Solutions Limited 314 N.
