We are seeking an experienced Network Design Lead Engineer to join our team in Grand Forks, ND. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, architecture, and implementation of complex network solutions across our enterprise environment. You will work closely with IT leadership, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure that network systems are robust, secure, and scalable to support organizational needs.

Lead the design and architecture of enterprise network solutions, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and data center networks.

Develop and maintain network design standards, best practices, and documentation.

Evaluate, recommend, and implement network technologies to improve performance, reliability, and security.

Collaborate with IT teams, architects, and vendors to deliver end-to-end network solutions.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and team members.

Analyze network performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimizations.

Lead network infrastructure projects from conception through deployment, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Conduct risk assessments, network capacity planning, and scalability analysis.

Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Stay current with emerging networking technologies and trends to inform future network strategy.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

12+ years of experience in network design, architecture, and implementation.

Proven expertise in enterprise network technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, and wireless networking.

Strong knowledge of network protocols, IP addressing, VLANs, and QoS.

Hands-on experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization tools.

Experience leading large-scale network projects and cross-functional teams.

Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
