Network Administrator II

Length of Contract: 6-9  months

Work Location: On-site in Omaha, NE

 

Job Description: 

• Provide engineering and system administration of local and enterprise-wide production data and voice network systems

• Provide first- and second-level problem resolution of production systems

• Perform day-to-day maintenance tasks for production systems

• Review and analyze system modifications/patches

• Assist with analysis of existing technology solutions to ensure system stability, reliability and predictability

• Assist with analysis and design of new technology solutions under guidance and direction of Senior Network Administrator, Team Leads or Technology Consultants

• Participate in support of tasks on technology projects under direction of a Senior Network Administrator, Team Leads or Technology Consultant

• Evaluate and define specifications to be used in support of production environment

• Develop technology standards and specifications for use by systems administrators

• Review system logs and reports and take corrective action to resolve anomalies

• Conduct technology implementation tasks with limited review required by higher-level technical/managerial staff

• Perform technology evaluations, testing and design tasks in support of new or upgraded technologies for enterprise-wide infrastructure systems

• Perform other duties as needed

 

Top Skills Required:

  • Cisco 9300 and 3650 LAN switches and there overall configuration following a config template and how to setup and troubleshoot VLANs, PortChannels, Uplink interfaces
  • Cisco ISR 4K routers (4331 and 4431 primarily) there overall configuration following a config template and how to setup and troubleshoot BGP routing and troubleshooting
  • Cisco 2800/3800 wireless access points configuration and configuration of access ports on switches
  • Knowledge and experience with ATT MPLS circuits, telco trouble tickets, troubleshooting and resolution of downed WAN circuits

 

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with administration and support of technology systems

• Proficiency of Network Admin I responsibilities

• Technical proficiency with administering and supporting production technology systems

• Good communication skills

• Ability to interact with customers in a professional manner when providing support for customer problem resolution

• Self-starter with the ability to perform assigned administration tasks with minimal supervision

• Strong analysis and technology design skills

• Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
