MQ Administrator

Must Haves
? Experience in IBM MQ Administration
? Experience in creation of Queue Managers, Queues, and other objects
? Knowledge of high-available messaging platforms and ability to solution customer’s messaging needs
? Experience in Linux systems
? Experience in IBM WebSphere MQ
? Experience in Kafka MQ and Rabbit MQ
? Experience in MQ patching and other housekeeping activities
? Highly preferred - knowledge and/or experience in API gateways and understanding of integration platforms.

? Setup IBM MQ high-available platform and create all related MQ objects for high available messaging needs.
? Troubleshoot MQ and other platform issues.
? Work with customers to identify needs and provide appropriate messaging platform solution.
? This is an admin role not a development role. This person will be working with developers to set up the infrastructure so developer can send and receive messages.
? The admin should have a good concept of messaging and various ways it can be set up depending on the use case.
? The candidate would need to provide support for the messaging infrastructure during project testing phase and in production. Need to be available to solve problems.

Team Overview:
? Part of the Middle-Ware org, within the integration services team.
? This team caters to all finance and IT teams.
? 3team members in the US and 17 team members in India. Interactions with international team members tend to occur in the morning US hours.
? Team works with 3 versions of MQ - IBM WebSphere MQ/Rabbit
