Role: Mobile Business Analyst
Location: San Francisco, CA, 94111
Duration: 06+ Months/ Contract to Hire

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Business Analyst that will support us in building a consumer facing mobile application for iOS and Android.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is comfortable in both technical and business conversations, with the ability to translate strategic business requirements to actionable functional requirements.
The person will work alongside a Sr. Product Manager to manage product requirements for the mobile app and will partner in execution against those requirements.
Experience in working in Agile software development teams is strong preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
Understand the major solution components of our digital architecture.
Lead the capture of architectural decisions and dependencies in project documentation templates and own the versioning of documentation (FSDs, templates, etc as updates trickle through during the project design and implementation phases
Interface with our product, technical partners and at times vendors, where needed to facilitate meetings for business requirements definition, technical requirements elicitation, integration specification updates, request data samples and articulate dependencies
Capture functional documentation on solution approach for specific project featurese.g. Authentication flows, Checkout UI, or reporting dashboardsusing flowcharts, sequence diagrams or other UML-based documentation approaches
Capture detailed integration mapping specifications and applicable business rules for inbound and outbound data to/from client systems either via feeds or real-time interfaces
Creation of user stories in support of the functional requirements in JIRA
Define Acceptance Criteria for User Stories and provide additional functional testing alongside QA to ensure development completion accuracy
Work with User Experience Design team to validate designs against functional requirements
Work alongside software engineers to ensure that functional requirements in User Stories are understood, and work with them through build to unblock any unknowns by working alongside the Product Manager and other cross functional partners
Assist in organizing User Acceptance Testing and documenting sign-off from stakeholders
Support the development of testing, integration and implementation plans and provide support to our QA teams.

Skills & Qualifications:
3+ years’ experience working at technology companies
2+ years in retail or ecommerce IT
Facility with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Gliffy or Visio
Outstanding ability to organize and simplify complex project data
Self-starter with quick turn-around times
Excellent written skills and client-facing presentational skills
Experience with Excel, XML and SQL an asset
Retail experience and/or technical degree a big plus
