Job Title: Middleware Server Engineer

Location: Chantilly, Virginia

Job Duties:

3rd level resource, maintain & improve code in Jenkins & Git repository to deploy WebSphere applications for new projects, move off Linux Suse
On-call requirements, not common, scheduling production shift requirements
Outsource operations for 1st level admin group
Track security vulnerability- monthly, reporting quarterly, using Qualis for reporting
Infrastructure Technologies- Linux Suse, Windows, RedHat, UNIX, WebSphere (bulk of Middleware + v8.x) WebSphere NC (primarily used, but more expensive), WebSphere Liberty (looking to move to this), Jenkins, Git repository, OVO (monitoring), SolarWinds (monitoring), Big Fix (reporting), Tanium (logs monitoring by security)
Infrastructure size- 50-100 applications

Degree Requirement: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, information technology or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a bachelor's degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.
