| | Title: Mid JAVA Developer Location: Remote Role Overview: Apex Systems is looking for a Mid-level Java Developer to join the leading financial regulatory authority, who was voted the #1 Mid-Size Technology Company to work for in the country. The Full Stack JAVA developer will be responsible for hands-on software engineering to create AND enhance several enterprise-wide applications that help detect financial crime. Successful candidates will be proficient with core JAVA, AWS, SQL, and Spring Boot. They will also be a self-starter who is proactive in project contributions and are motivated to grow their skills. Essential Job Functions: - Review and analyze complex process, system and / or data requirements and specifications across a major program or project or several small projects or programs.
- Collaborate with team in defining architecture; implement data contracts; identify potential risks to successful implementation
- Create prototypes that demonstrate concepts during sprints
- Build new modules - Translate design vision provided by the management team
- Create the formal design documentation as required
- Build, test, deploy, and document complex software components for one or more areas (subsystems) for a larger system or multiple areas (subsystems) for smaller systems as well as, help others with theirs.
Experience Requirements: - 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Proficient with coding in core Java
- Experience working and support applications on the cloud using AWS services
- Developing Big Data components using Spark, Oozie, Presto etc.
- Strong understanding of both SQL & NoSQL databases
- Developing Microservices using frameworks like Spring/Spring Boot
- Developing UI using Angular, Node js, HTML, CSS etc1.
