*Primary Location: *5700 Broadmoor St, Mission, KS, USA*Division: *Cox Automotive*Job Level: *Manager/Senior Manager*Travel: *No*Schedule: *Full-time*Shift: *Day Job*Requisition Number: *202105038*Cox Automotives* delivery stream group, *Dealer Marketing,* is looking for an experienced* Software Engineering Manager or Leader* to manage and lead Engineering teams working on our new Automotive Marketing Platform in *Kansas City*. *Automotive Marketing Platform (AMP) * The AMP teams within Dealer Marketing are responsible for designing and delivering the various features of the AMP product. AMP is a ground-breaking one-to-one marketing product that exploits rich Cox Automotive data with consumer insights to deliver cost-effective and impactful marketing campaigns from auto dealerships to customers. As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading, growing, and developing teams of innovative Software Engineers in designing, implementing, and delivering high-quality software products using the latest AWS technologies. To be successful in this role, you must be able to lead effectively in a fluid, fast-paced agile environment. This position requires strong leadership, design, communication, and collaboration skills. We have exciting goals over the next couple of years and we are looking for candidates with a passion for building high-performing teams through both Engineering best practices as well as through striking a healthy work-life balance. *Responsibilities** Manages career progression for team members, including hiring, performance reviews, salary decisions, mentoring, coaching, and all duties normally associated with a hiring manager * Optimizes overall team performance by coaching individual team members* Conceives team structure and constantly seeks opportunities to adjust team structure to maximize agility and efficiency* Plans and executes projects based on the product development pipeline * Establishes a fun, creative, and enjoyable environment balanced with strong collaboration and productivity* Presents issues and risks and their business impact to management in a timely manner with proposed mitigation* Actively seeks and removes impediments to team success regardless of where they originate* Collaborates across multiple business units and functional departments to develop and deploy solutions that address key business initiatives* Continuously improves software development productivity, quality, predictability, and team morale* Responds quickly and effectively to production issues and taking responsibility for seeing those issues through resolution* Adheres to departmental process and procedure Qualifications: * Where permitted by applicable law, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be considered for this U.S. based job.
