The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and improvement of mechanical systems and components. This role applies engineering principles to ensure products and systems meet performance, safety, quality, and cost requirements while complying with applicable standards and regulations.
Design and develop mechanical components, systems, and assemblies
Create and review engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs
Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and tolerance analysis
Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities
Analyze test data and implement design improvements
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams
Support product lifecycle activities from concept through production
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
Provide technical support for production and field issues
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
2–5 years of relevant engineering experience (adjustable by level)
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Creo, or similar)
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and materials
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Experience with FEA, CFD, or other simulation tools
Knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, welding, casting, molding)
Familiarity with GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
Experience in regulated industries (ASME, ISO, ASTM, API, etc.)
Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification
