Summary:
Act as an intermediary, taking engineering bills of materials and restructuring them to enable entry into a purchasing system. Receiving order requests from field engineers in overseas plants and formatting them to enable purchase. Updating data in various records. Perform audits on engineering bills of materials to add purchasing information as needed.
Requirements:
Basic technical knowledge of how machinery is constructed and maintained. Understanding of machine components and terminology. Solid experience with Microsoft Excel. Able to perform detailed data entry and check own work for errors. Can keep track of multiple tasks, move from task to task as information is available, and ensure no tasks are forgotten. Able to communicate professionally with both technical and non-technical coworkers in person, via email, and through instant messaging. Patient in clarifying ambiguous information and contacting others for answers. Perform daily duties with minimal oversight.
Required Skills:
Understanding engineering drawings and bills of material. Experienced and proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.
Desired Skills:
Experience with electronic document workflows, SAP, Solidworks, and Solidworks EPDM a plus.
