***Marketing Data Platform & Integration Architect (Hands-On, Strategic + Execution)***

***Must have experience with A e AEP and AWS***

Profile Summary:-

A senior hands-on data and martech architect who has built and delivered modern data ecosystems integrating AWS and A e Experience Platform (AEP). This person bridges strategy and execution, able to walk into a fragmented, politically complex environment and quickly assess the current state - systems, data, ownership, frustrations, and opportunities - while simultaneously designing and building the future-state roadmap. They combine technical mastery with stakeholder empathy, translating architecture into measurable business value and enabling marketing and sales teams to use their data with confidence.

Core Responsibilities:-

  • Conduct structured current-state discovery across data, platforms, and business workflows.
  • Identify existing data assets, integrations, pain points, and bottlenecks.
  • Document how data flows today across marketing, tele sales, and broker channels.
  • Surface gaps, redundancies, and dependencies between technical and business systems.
  • Develop a future-state roadmap that defines:
  • The data lakehouse architecture and governance model (built in AWS).
  • Integration with A e Experience Platform or equivalent CDP.
  • A phased delivery approach balancing quick wins with scalable architecture.
  • Lead the translation of strategy into action - design, prototype, and build the data environment hands-on.
  • Partner with marketing, product, and analytics stakeholders to define value cases for each phase (speed, visibility, cost reduction, lead conversion, or compliance gains).
  • Act as the bridge between IT and business, ensuring every technical milestone ties back to tangible impact and stakeholder adoption.

Technical Competencies:-

  • Cloud and Data Engineering:
  • Expert in AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch).
  • Designed multi-zone lakehouse architectures (raw, curated, governed layers).
  • Familiar with Databricks, Snowflake, and event-based ingestion (Kafka, Kinesis).
  • Skilled in Python, SQL, and data pipeline orchestration.
  • Martech Integration:
  • Direct hands-on experience with A e Experience Platform (AEP), A e Analytics, and Real-Time CDP.
  • Knowledge of identity stitching, profile unification, and activation pipelines.
  • Experience integrating data into campaign and marketing ecosystems (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo, Braze).
  • Data Governance & Observability:
  • Established data quality monitoring, cataloging, and lineage frameworks.
  • Comfortable balancing compliance (HIPAA/PII) with activation needs.

Stakeholder & Communication Skills:-

  • Skilled in discovery and mapping workshops with business and technical teams.
  • Capable of asking the right questions to uncover:
  • What data users rely on most.
  • What frustrates them about current access or accuracy.
  • What value outcomes they need (speed, visibility, autonomy, reporting).
  • Can translate stakeholder pain points into solution design, demonstrating empathy and business acumen.
  • Able to produce simple, compelling visual and narrative artifacts:
  • As-Is data flow maps and ownership matrices.
  • To-Be architecture diagrams and phase roadmaps.
  • Clear linkage of each improvement to business KPIs or efficiency gains.
  • Effective communicator across executive, marketing, and technical audiences confident presenting to skeptical or political groups and earning their buy-in through clarity and credibility.

Experience Markers:-

  • 7-10 years of total experience; at least 5 in AWS and A e data ecosystems.
  • Proven history of mapping and transforming current-state data architectures into modern lakehouse/CDP environments.
  • Delivered measurable value in environments with both IT and marketing data ownership.
