Position: Manager, Technical Accounting
Location: Charlotte, NC
Travel: Up to 20% of the time

Must-Haves:

1. CPA required.
2. 6-8 years+ of experience, including at least 3-5 years in public accounting.

4. Knowledge of key technical accounting areas in US GAAP.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess technical accounting issues in complex business transactions; prepare technical memorandums.
• Collaborate with business leaders, providing guidance on accounting transactions.
• Assist in reviewing the company's written accounting policies and offer guidance on their application.
• Stay abreast of changes to accounting standards, SEC guidance, and PCAOB regulations.
• Conduct impact analysis of new accounting pronouncements and lead implementation efforts.
• Research and resolve technical accounting issues with external auditors.
• Support external reporting, ensuring financial statements align with US GAAP.
• Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring accurate and timely responses.
• Support deal teams in pre and post deal-closure activities, evaluating accounting implications.
• Lead annual impairment analysis for critical asset categories.
• Organize enterprise-wide quarterly trainings on various topics related to US GAAP, internal controls, and SEC matters.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting; CPA required.
• 6-8 years+ of experience, including at least 3-5 years in public accounting; Big 4 experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of key technical accounting areas in US GAAP.
• Effective communication, planning, and leadership skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, changing, and collaborative environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Accomplished multitasking skills.

Education Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting; licensed CPA

Experience:

• 6-8 years+, including at least 3-5 years in public accounting; Big 4 experience strongly preferred

Compensation:

• Annual base salary range: $116,625.00 to $139,950.00
• Incentive bonus awarded based on defined business and individual goals.
