Job Description :
Position: Mainframe z/OS Bill Rate: $Negotiable Location: Richardson, TX Duration: 6 Months Support SYSPLEX environment Capable of installing/upgrading z/OS systems. Should have sound knowledge of SMP/e, JCLs, MVS concepts, JES, HCD, HMC, SDSF, Catalog Management etc. Knowledge of installing and supporting commonly used ISV products like VDR , Tape management tool (CA-1), Scheduling tools (ZEKE) ,FDRABR etc. Capable of Installing regular maintenance (RSUs) Supporting any hardware or software upgrade in the environment(reviewing PSP Bucket etc Capable of planning for and supporting Disaster recovery exercises. Perform trouble shooting and provide 24X7 oncall support to the clients supported. Participate in major incident resolution & root cause analysis of repeated incidents. Application Programmer Technical Assistance Working with IBM support or vendor for problem resolution Need to handle incidents, requests & changes Support zOS upgrade from ISV perspective Should have sound knowledge on USS activities Good communication skills and a team player Good analytical and debugging skills Experience in installing products using CA CSM desirable Sound knowledge of the IPL process and ability to coordinate monthly IPLs with the DC operations and other involved teams
