Job Description :
We are looking for a full-time contractor or employee for a Mainframe Developer role.
seekinig for an experienced mainframe developer proficient in COBOL or Natural with a strong understanding of mainframe systems. The role involves development, architecture, and support for mainframe operations and projects while collaborating with IT and business teams to translate requirements and automate processes. Responsibilities include testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and ensuring compliance with change control procedures. A reliable work schedule is required, with occasional after-hours work to sustain operations or complete urgent tasks.
Required Skills:
  • Experience as a Mainframe Developer/Programmer Analyst with COBOL or Natural programming
  • Demonstrated foundational experience with large-scale, complex mainframe productions systems
  • Hands-on experience in design, implementation, and productions support of applications
  • Mainframe Development background in design, analysis, and coding:  COBOL or Natural programming, TSO/ISPF, JCL, and DB2. Other skills:  VSAM files.• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working in a global environment• Strong analytical and problem solving skills• Ability to Prioritize Business Impact and Urgency• Perform application support tasks like systems support, security reviews, and maintenance tasks• Ability to learn new technologies and methodologies quickly
  • Experience creating project documentation such as: technical specifications, process workflow, and database record and field specifications
  • Experience to troubleshoot/resolve incidents and business support items in Mainframe
  • Testing experience
  • Experience in database management systems (IBM Data Studio, Squirrel)
  • Experience as a Programmer, Analyst, or Systems Administrator

Preferred Skills:
  • Texas Workforce Commission experience
