The ideal candidate will develop quality software acrossbanking product domains and is proficient with various Mainframe developmenttools and techniques. The individual should be experienced with COBOL/JCL, DB2including modelling and performance tuning, possess good problem-solvingskills, and take ownership of items independently while tracking to closure.The candidate will liaise with global teams to understand requirements, develophigh quality code and deliver projects. The position requires attention todetail, coupled with ownership, to ensure the delivery of high-qualityapplications.
Skills Required:
5-7 years' of hands-on professional mainframe experienceusing JCL, COBOL, DB2.
Hands on experience creating/consuming CICS web services anddata. Data queries in SQL.
Experience of working with geographically dispersed teams,that fall across different time zones
Experience with distributed architecture including webservices technologies
Experience with technical as well as solution architectureand Developing POCs
Working knowledge of JIRA or other ALM tools to create aproductive, high quality development environment
Solid understanding and experience with mainframe design anddevelopment
Practiced understanding of Agile development methodologies& understanding of DevOps Integration
The ability to write reusable, optimized, maintainable codethat is well documented and follows industry-
standard best practices
Good problem solving and analytical skills
Working experience with Database design and data analysis.
Good communication and presentation skills: ability tocommunicate in a clear and concise manner, across all
stakeholder groups and with staff from junior to seniorlevels
