Job Description:-

Key Responsibilities

Application Development: Create, modify, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, Assembler, or other relevant languages.
System Maintenance: Ensure efficient operation of central processing systems, handling updates and enhancements.
Testing & Debugging: Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting for software applications.
Collaboration: Work with business analysts, system engineers, and other developers to align mainframe solutions with business requirements.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical specifications, user manuals, and support documentation.
Performance Tuning: Optimize applications for speed and efficiency.
Essential Skills & Tools
Languages: COBOL, JCL, SQL, Assembler.
Tools/Environments: CICS, DB2, VSAM, z/OS, ISPF, Mainframe Utilities.
Concepts: Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), batch and online processing, data analysis, system integration.
