Position: Mac OS Software Packager
Location: (San Antonio TX, Plano TX, Phoenix AZ, Tampa FL).Onsite
IT engineer focused on packaging and distributing the software.
Job overview:
Experienced IT professional who can help with the process of packaging and distributing the mac os software in a large scale environment.
You will work on a Devops Teams to perform the packaging of the vendor Software and loading it up for distribution.
You will be expected to troubleshoot and work around vendor packaging issues to ensure successful install, upgrade and uninstall behaviors.
You will assist business partners in performing root analysis of distribution errors and formulate a plan of action to resolve issues.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Creation of PKGs from CLI
  • Customizing existing software thru pre/post install and uninstall scripts
  • Deployment and configuration of macOS enterprise software
  • Troubleshooting package distribution failures
  • Adherence to process rigor
  • Help perform code review of scripts.
  • Customer facing technical position.
  • Daily usage of version control systems
  • Writing technical documentation
Qualifications
+2 years of experience of the following
  • macOS 10.15 +
  • Git
  • Bash/ZSH
  • Python 3+
  • Communication Skills
  • Patience
Nice to Have
MDM experience (Jamf/Munki)
