ETL Lead Developer - support for Data Warehouse Production Incidents” role. Please find the skill set and responsibilities.

Location: Cincinnati, OH
Duration – long term

Skill set:
- Working experience on different Data bases – Oracle, SQL Server (Tools – TOAD, Oracle Developer, MS SQL Server)
- Good expertise on SQL queries
- Working experience on Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Data marts(FDW, ADW, URS, CDM etc and Downstream systems
- Expertise on Root cause analysis and creating Firefighting scripts to correct the erred transactions/data
- Good expertise on Data model and Data Governance
- Experienced on Coverage Code Matrix (CCM) updates ,adding/updating values into Lookup tables and getting approvals from different stake holders.
- Good expertise on ETL development and good expertise on Informatica Tool workflows to find the root cause
- Good experience on Policy, Billing and Claims applications and functionality
- Good knowledge on Agile/Kanban methodologies
- Good communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Requirement gathering for Policy/claims conversion projects and production incidents
- Requirement gathering for stat fields, handling of new elements/business terms
- Setting up meetings with different stake holders to review the stat/new elements, share meeting notes across the team
- Update the look up tables (e.g. Product values, producers) in non-prod environments and validate the new entries are correct for testing
- Update the Dimension/Aggregate tables in non-prod environment with required policy details and validate the new entries are correct for testing
- Gathering requirement for onset/offset triggers in ADW, update the triggers document and working with QA for test scenarios
- Testing support – Before testing commences, ensure that
o CCM changes are approved if any
o ETL/Adaptor work is completed for stat/new elements
o Risk hierarchies are ready
o FDW Look up tables are updated with right entries
o Onset/offset triggers are updated in ADW
o Dimensional/Aggregate tables are updated with right entries
o Support for user testing in non-environments like INT and UAT
- Gathering details from Production incident, if details are not clear then coordinating with business uses (whoever raised)/ internal team members
- Root cause analysis on failed/incorrect transactions/data for all BU’s
- Collaborating with different teams if the fix is from other team members
- Providing the SQL scripts to firefight the incorrect transactions/data
- Providing the solution to ETL/CXML developers if the fix is from ETL mapping/ CXML adaptor change and coordinating for updates
- Coordinating with testing team to test the firefighter scripts/mapping changes/ adaptor changes in lower environments and get approval from business (if it looks good in lower environment) to deploy into production
- Month end production support
- Job monitoring, fixing job failure issues by analyzing the root cause
