**About the Role**
We are seeking Data Center Support / Operations Engineers for a long-term engagement with a leading client in Santa Clara, CA. This is an on-site position requiring physical presence five days a week and availability during nighttime hours (PST).
This role demands a hands-on professional with proven experience in managing both physical and virtual infrastructure within enterprise-grade and edge data centers. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in server/network hardware, cabling, cooling, and remote hands support.
**Key Responsibilities**
Manage and support data center operations, including both physical and virtual infrastructure.
Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot server and network hardware, including:
Cisco, Dell, Palo Alto
Handle structured cabling, power distribution, and cooling systems.
Provide remote hands support as needed for data center activities.
Ensure uptime, capacity scaling, and secure access controls.
Maintain strict adherence to operational standards and protocols across enterprise and edge environments.
**Core Skills & Qualifications**
Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in data center operations.
Strong familiarity with:
Data center hardware (servers, network appliances)
Network infrastructure (Cisco, Dell, Palo Alto)
Cabling, power, and cooling systems
Ability to work independently during night shifts (PST).
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication skills with native or bilingual proficiency in English.
