Job Title : Audio/Visual (AV) Specialist – Construction IT Projects

**Position Description**
The AV Specialist will support the planning, procurement, and execution of construction-related IT projects, focusing on audio/visual and structured cabling systems. The contractor will act as a technical subject matter expert and collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Participate in project scoping and technical requirements definition
Conduct site walkthroughs and attend design meetings
Assist procurement staff with drafting technical specifications and evaluating proposals
Serve as subject matter expert for AV and structured cabling installations
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and construction managers during implementation
Support project closeout, including testing, documentation, and reporting
Required Skills / Experience
Advanced knowledge of AV system design and integration
Intermediate experience with structured cabling (voice/data)
Intermediate experience with construction project coordination
Intermediate experience in RFP technical writing and proposal evaluation
Ability to conduct site walkthroughs and produce technical documentation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office / 365 Suite
Preferred Skills (Optional)
CTS, CTS-D, or equivalent certifications
Basic familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or Revit
