Job Title : Audio/Visual (AV) Specialist – Construction IT Projects

**Position Overview**
We are seeking an experienced Audio/Visual (AV) Specialist to support the planning, procurement, and execution of construction-related IT projects focused on audio/visual systems and structured cabling.
This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can collaborate with cross-functional teams, coordinate vendors, and serve as a subject matter expert on AV and low-voltage cabling installations.
**Key Responsibilities**
Participate in project scoping, planning, and technical requirements definition
Conduct site walkthroughs and attend design and coordination meetings
Assist procurement staff with drafting technical specifications and evaluating vendor proposals
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for AV and structured cabling installations
Coordinate closely with vendors, contractors, and construction managers during implementation
Support project closeout activities, including system testing, documentation, and as-built deliverables
**Required Qualifications**
Education: Associate’s degree or higher in a related field
Experience & Skills:
Advanced knowledge of AV system design and integration (commercial/government experience preferred)
Intermediate experience with structured cabling (voice/data) and low-voltage standards
Intermediate experience in construction project coordination and collaboration with general contractors/trades
Intermediate experience in RFP technical writing and proposal evaluation
Ability to conduct site walkthroughs and produce accurate technical documentation
Proficiency with Microsoft Office/365 Suite for reporting and communication
**Preferred Qualifications**
Certifications: CTS or CTS-D (or equivalent industry certifications)
Software Skills: Basic familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or Revit for reviewing plans and drawings
