Position Description:

Under the ITSSC program, Leidos supports the full range of IT integration
services supporting a multi-platform computing environment, including:
information systems modernization initiatives, software engineering, project
management, infrastructure services, data warehousing, database
administration, research, planning, security, federal enterprise
architecture initiatives, and all levels of Internet, Intranet and Web
portal initiatives and migrating legacy architecture to web-based platforms.
Leidos has an immediate need for a Linux System Administrator to support the
development and validation environments hosting internal agency
applications. Leidos provides support for infrastructure tasks and
initiatives for Web Support and Application Support activities. This
includes Infrastructure, System Administration, and Agile Development roles
supporting a wide range of technologies in environments that continue to
grow and evolve rapidly with new products and techniques introduced
regularly and changing priorities.

The candidate will be collocated with the SSA government employees and
subcontractors at a government facility in Baltimore, Maryland. The
candidate must be able to pass a Federal Suitability Check for a position of
public trust.

This position may require occasional off hours support during operating
system/software upgrades and patches.

Required Skills:

A minimum of 3-5 years of system administration work experience with the
following:
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (versions 6
and 7) configuration and system administration including user account
creation, folder/file permissions, mounting file systems, partition resizing
and operating system patching.
Experience with Red Hat IDM (Identity Manager) and/or
CA Control Minder.
Solid problem solving and troubleshooting skills for
Tier 1 and Tier 2 level email support to assist developers.
Basic understanding of networking (IP subnets, Ping,
tracert, etc.
Experience installing and removing Linux packages using
Yum.

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of Ansible playbooks, tasks and roles.
Experience with Active Directory
Knowledge of virtualization
Knowledge of core system and security applications and
protocols such as basic TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, NFS, LDAP, SSH, Kerberos
Experience with shell scripting
Good interpersonal and communication skills necessary
to work effectively with customers and other team members.
Education: BS Degree + 11 years of experience
