As a Solution Architect/Lead Software Engineer, you will be part of an engineering feature team. You will partner with business operations and product owner to deliver solutions for digital transformation initiatives within UHG. Your work will entail development of modern digital experiences and automated transactions to replace manual paper-based transactions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with PO, Business stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver digital transformation initiatives
- Lead software development
- May need to perform hands-on development
- Lead team efforts to achieve timely resolution of all production issues meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements
- Conduct code review to ensure the work delivered by the team is of high-quality standards
- Mentor other developers on coding standards, problem solving, and application architecture
- Create solution documentation in advance of agile planning sessions
- Effectively present architecture and design to business stakeholders and engineering team
- Create CBA (cost benefit analysis), build consensus & buy-in from various stakeholders
- Research new technology, framework & tools to create solution which are cost effective, high performance & resilient
- Propose POCs for new approach, participate in technology evaluation
- Provide support and leadership in critical production support issue resolution

Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience with Java/J2EE, UI frameworks and databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle, DB2, Cassandra etc)
- 3+ years of application architecture & design experience involving heterogeneous enterprise scale systems & software?s
- 3+ years of experience working on software involving rules engine, APIs, streaming & messaging platform
- 2+ years of knowledge cloud technologies like Docker, Cloud infrastructure, API Gateway, Jenkins Pipeline etc
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of AWS/Azure cloud platform
- Working knowledge of Elastic Stack
- A e Experience Manager Certifications
