In our State Government Systems business unit, we support forty state Medicaid agencies with an array of effective complex population health services, advanced analytics, policy and program consulting, program integrity services, and to end-to-end solutions for Medicaid and HHS programs. Our goal is to help states drive transformation change for the people in your state. Professionals at this position will have an opportunity to dive deep into existing technology driven systems, partner with various types of stakeholders and drive innovative solutions to positively impact the quality of life for Medicaid supported populations.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Providing Technical leadership and direction to application development team

  • Leading Engineering team to develop and deliver highest quality and scalable solutions

  • Design, modify, develop, and implement software programming applications

  • Deliver reusable components, patterns, tools

  • Participate in testing process through test review and analysis and skilled in Agile development methodologies including unit testing and continuous integration

  • Lead team best practices in CICD and DevOps

  • Independently manage day-to-day activities and complex situations. Identify problems and solutions around escalations

  • Understand & solution business requirements; translate complexities to project stakeholders

  • Mentor other team members at multiple levels

  • Collaborate with program team, product team and scrum teams and participate in various backlog refinement sessions and Scrum ceremonies

  • Installation and delivery of application software using an Agile development lifecycle

  • Manages an Agile (Scrum) Development process in a continuous integration and deployment methodology

  • Contribute towards system analysis, design walkthroughs and code reviews

Required Qualifications:



  • 10+ years of experience with software development with Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate

  • Experience working with containerized (e.g. Docker) and orchestration engines (e.g. Kubernetes, etc.)

  • Experience with Agile Product development process

  • Ability to do application build and deployment using Jenkins / CICD tools

  • Hands-on knowledge in PL/SQL and Oracle database

  • Hands-on in designing software solutions and architecture


 


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Undergraduate degree in software engineering, computer science or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in health insurance industry

  • Child Welfare experience

  • State Government project experience

  • Ability to work in Eden Prairie, MN

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary/hourly range for Colorado residents is $94,500 to $171,700. The salary/hourly range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $94,500 to $171,700.
