Position: Lead ServiceNow Developer
Location: Hoboken, NJ (Onsite - Local Candidates Only)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Job Description
Platform Ownership & Stabilization
- Serve as the primary technical lead for the ServiceNow platform in partnership with the Platform Owner and Lead Administrator.
- Conduct a rapid assessment of the existing instance, including customizations, workflows, business rules, and integrations.
- Reverse-engineer undocumented configurations and establish baseline technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot legacy issues and stabilize performance following a team transition.
Development & Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain solutions using:
- Client Scripts
- Business Rules
- UI Policies & UI Actions
- ACLs
- Build and maintain complex REST/SOAP API integrations with third-party enterprise systems.
- Ensure ongoing CMDB health, accuracy, and data integrity.
Module Management
- Maintain and enhance ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request).
- Provide functional and technical leadership for:
- Integrated Risk Management (IRM / GRC)
- Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD)
- Configure and support Service Portal pages and widgets to deliver a seamless user experience.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Act as the ServiceNow Subject Matter Expert (SME) while a permanent support team is established.
- Mentor and guide junior developers and administrators joining the team.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development and administration experience.
- Proven ability to work independently in complex, highly customized environments.
- Strong expertise in:
- JavaScript & Glide API
- HTML, CSS
- AngularJS / Service Portal
- Experience with Integration Hub, REST/SOAP APIs, and ETL processes.
- Demonstrated success troubleshooting and stabilizing heavily customized instances.
Module Expertise
- Expert-level knowledge of ITSM and CMDB
- High Priority: IRM (Governance, Risk, and Compliance)
- High Priority: HRSD (Human Resources Service Delivery)
Preferred Certifications
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) IRM and/or HRSD
- ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation
