POSITION OVERVIEW : The Health Care Technology Group (HCG) supports the recordkeeping and administration of Health Benefits (Medical, Dental and Vision plans) as well as the Health Savings and Reimbursement Account plans on behalf of Fidelity’s corporate clients, their employees and retirees. The Technology associates on the HCG Platform team interact with Business partners as well as Systems partners who have responsibility for client-facing channels such as NetBenefits®. The development teams are located across USA and India. Team size is 150+ resources across IT and Product organized into highly motivated team who develop and deliver using Agile Methodology. The Health Care Technology Group (HCG) Team is looking to fill an exciting and ambitious position on its development team. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be a senior member, encouraged to supply to the technical leadership and center of competence within the HCG team. This includes:
    Providing mentoring to the HCG team of developers and Tech leads with specific emphasis on sound fundamental development methodology.Providing leadership on project development policies, procedures, standards and strategies.Participating in the HCG team’s effort to improve the efficiency and quality of the entire development process.
POSITION GENERAL DUTIES AND TASKS :
    5 - 10 years of development experience with 3 - 5 years of technical leadership experience at a Team lead level. Bachelor s Degree. Excellent knowledge of REST/SOAP concepts and developing Web Service API s using Spring boot with Tomcat. Object-oriented analysis and design experience. Excellent understanding of Java 8 and above capabilities, lambda, streams, and functional interfaces. Excellent SQL and database concepts to work with large databases Knowledge with Data Warehousing and Informatica. Good aptitude to quickly grasp newer concepts, learn on the fly and apply them in day-to-day work. Smart analytical skills to derive meaningful inferences from data sets and then apply those inferences to resolve business challenges. Ability to understand custom client data specs, apply them to the data feeds and understand the nuances where these data feeds differ from the Product standards. Document these differences and work with SMEs / Other team members to solve these differences. Understand business problems, brainstorm on solutions to tackle these problems and break the solutions down into easy-to-follow action items.
