Responsibilities
Client has a client in need of a Lead Engineer who can sit in either New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA. This role requires candidates to sit onsite 1-2 days per week. Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our state of the art, video segmentation platform. The candidate should be able to tackle challenges that come with complex large-scale data having different streams of data and content sources. Key Tasks:
- Lead Engineer will be building and maintaining highly available and scalable platform
- Understanding distributed systems concepts from a data storage and compute perspective
- As a Lead Engineer, you will be interfacing with other teams to integrate with their systems in scalable and efficient ways
- Design Data models and Data Products to enable extending this product
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Backend Engineering, with a strong focus on batch and stream data processing using distributed computing systems
- Expertise of creating highly available, scalable, low latency platforms
- Proficiency with Go language
- Proficiency with GraphQL
- Strong knowledge of ETL, Data Modeling
- Proficiency with AWS stacks, specifically Redshift, DynamoDB, Fargate, Lambda, etc.
