Job Overview:
The role of the Business Consultant is for individuals passionate about identifying and delivering the right Business solution for each client. Our Business Consultants have a keen Business orientation with an understanding of how technology can be effectively applied to meet a variety of Business needs.

Our Business Consultants fill a number of different roles on our project teams working with a variety of technologies for a wide range of clients. The specific responsibilities vary for each client and each project. Key to the success of our Business Consultants is the willingness and desire to quickly learn the client’s industry and the unique requirements of each engagement and to fill whatever role may be required to best support our client’s needs.

A Business Consultant thrives in challenging environments and accomplishes difficult assignments without significant supervision and instruction. Our Consultants can handle the stress of being accountable for delivery and: complete goals on time, practice strong attention to detail, persevere through tough obstacles, and do not get easily discouraged.

The Lead Business Consultant is a key delivery point of contact and will be involved in the strategic planning of an engagement or helping the client make decisions about their future IT direction. Once a project has begun, the Lead Business Consultant will facilitate key requirements with stakeholders and customers using standard and User Experience techniques. The Lead Business Consultant may be responsible for functional designs, detailed designs and system mapping, wireframes, requirement specifications, and prototypes.

The Lead Business Consultant works directly with Senior Project Managers and assist with daily operations exercising time management, communication and collaboration in a fast-paced environment to ensure the successful delivery of projects. The Lead Business Consultant will interface with Perficient technical and business delivery personnel, as well as vendors and customers on a regular basis. Will mentor junior Consultants.


Responsibilities:
In collaboration ECS Management, lead the establishment, implementation and communication of the Content Governance program in line with Client’s overall strategy
Chair of the Content Governance Council(s)
Works with the business to define content value
Works with the business to identify and recruit Content Owners and Content Stewards
Evangelist for the program
Communicates the program value
Defines the Content Governance Council and Content Steward organizational model
Leads the development and maintenance of the content taxonomy
Develops Content Governance policies and standards.
Provides implementation assistance to Councils and Content Stewards.
Facilitates Content Governance Council agenda, meetings and working group interactions
Provides tools, template communications and training materials etc. for use by Councils and Stewards
Evaluates and develops potential improvements and standard methodologies for maintaining content reliability
Coordinates with Data Governance and Integration Governance to ensure consistency across governance programs
Facilitates/ arbitrates discussion on changes to the Content Taxonomy
Build trusted client relationships through proactive account management and effective project delivery.
Establishes knowledge of client business challenges and priorities to translate into opportunities.
Maintains regular client communication and satisfaction, ensuring opportunities and challenges are addressed in a timely manner.
Helps deliver presentations to clients and management teams.
Contributes to project discoveries, kickoff, prepare proposals and statements of work following company standards.
Translate client’s business needs into detailed business requirements documents, use cases and systems interaction diagrams.
Works with customers to establish approved wireframes and mock-ups for solutions.
Assists project team to establish high, mid, and micro level plans for project team.
Helps to establish critical path, milestones, delivery dates, and review client deliverables to ensure they meet client acceptance criteria.
Provides leadership throughout the lifecycles of a project, guiding the understanding the project team has through design and development to ensure project requirements are met.
Helps establish project test strategy, methodologies, test plans as well as assist with test execution.
Instills team commitment to company delivery methodologies and practices.

Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability in content, information and/or data governance; content management and/or document management, preferably from an asset management firm, with proven ability to drive for results
Knowledge of Content Governance standard methodologies, business and technology issues related to management of content assets
Experience directly or indirectly handling Content Governance teams
Experience facilitating Content Governance sessions
Ability to assign value to content and build appropriate metrics
Passionate about providing the highest quality of content to the end-users
Ability to create and maintain a content taxonomy
Understanding of (asset management) technology platforms
Bachelor’s Degree
5-7 years of professional business analysis experience, with strong relationship management, account management, and support experience.
Minimum 4 years consulting industry experience working with external clients
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Deep understanding of iterative development methodologies.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of current technologies and complex enterprise level applications.
Skilled ability to obtain, understand and respond strategically to client needs.
Highly detail oriented, well organized, and able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
Energetic, motivated, service-oriented, and be able to multi task.
Proven track record of delivering on time, on budget, and meeting client commitments.
Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills.
Excellent facilitation, presentation, and reporting skills.

Flexibility to travel up to 50 percent.
Preferred skills and education:
Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Master’s Degree
Strong understanding of complex Internet based enterprise level applications
Project management experience
Scrum or Product Owner certification
Ability to manage senior relationships across all the business and functional areas
Ability to settle disputes and resolve conflicts and negotiate with others
A self-starter who can quickly establish credibility as a global leader to build relationships with internal and external partners
Collaborator with a background in creating and managing cross functional teams
A passion for content quality and reliability and the drive to deliver productivity results year over year
The ability, energy and drive to successfully create a sustainable program in a global, matrix environment and influence global partners to follow policies
The ability to define and articulate Client’s ECM strategic vision
