Job Description:
· This candidate will work under a lead Lab engineer.
· The main function of a lab technician is to assist engineers in designing, developing, building, testing and troubleshooting electronic and electrical equipment to be installed on earth moving machines, utilizing engineering principles and test technology.
· Perform product evaluation and testing, using measuring and diagnostic devices to adjust, test, and repair new equipment designs and harnessing.
Technical Skills Required:
· Experience using the following equipment: DVM, oscilloscopes, recorders, power supplies, hand tools, soldering irons, hand crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
· Experience fabricating metal and plastics, drill press, grinders, hand drills, hole saws, and hand saws.
· Ability to operate PC or PDP11 controlled equipment.
· Proven ability to work successfully with computers, including Microsoft Suite experience.
· Ability to successfully communicate and interact with other team members, customers, and management.
Education Requirement:
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Associates degree in Electronic Engineering or 2 - 4 years’ experience related experience in general industry required.
