RATE: Upto $80 on C2C for Senior candidates (10 Year +), Upto $120K / on W2 for (10 Year +)

Job Description:


The candidate should have experience using the Go programming language in a modern production environment.
Experience with Node.js and JavaScript is a nice-to-have as is front-end experience with frameworks like React.
The candidate should have experience using databases, such as ElasticSearch, MongoDB and PostgreSQL, but this is NOT a DBA role.
The candidate should have experience using APIs as data sources. The candidate must have experience using Git and the GitHub workflow (such as pull requests and code review


This role will help efforts in building and extending the content ingestion pipeline. The primary application is written in Go, but it interfaces with services written in Node.js, so it''s helpful if the candidate has experience using that framework as well. There are a variety of needs across the systems, so full-stack experience is also very helpful.

This collaborates closely with upstream producers and downstream consumers of the data as well as product managers, designers, front-end engineers to build the tools, systems and infrastructure that manage our client’s content and deliver it to the web sites, apps, and other developers. This position is an opportunity to play a critical and highly-visible role in the digital evolution of the client

Qualifications:

Build, test, review, and ship software for our suite of content tools, APIs and microservices that power the web, mobile and device platforms, which uses Go, Node, Redis, MongoDB and GraphQL.

Act as a partner to other engineering squads to collaboratively develop the systems that the content management and front-end teams use Collaborate on the design of data models, technical architecture, data flows, schemas and API contracts Extend and enhance the toolchain and contribute to the existing development practices Act as an advocate for your team and advise the product group, other development teams Serve as a leader and technical mentor for the group, helping build and expand our technical and team practices Help guide the selection and implementation of new architectures, technologies and methodologies 

Requirements:


A Bachelor’s degree (or higher-level degree) in computer science or a related field and/or a history of relevant work experience
5+ years of relevant work experience
Experience with modern application stacks and development practices
