Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on M&A Systems Integration Expert to lead post-acquisition technology integration for a large utility company in the waste management sector. This role is critical to enforcing a standardized M&A Integration Playbook and ensuring rapid, secure, and scalable integration of acquired entities across applications, data, and network infrastructure.
The role requires strong onsite presence to work closely with business leaders, IT teams, and external partners to drive execution from Day 0 through stabilization.
Key Responsibilities
M&A Integration Leadership
Own and execute the IT integration strategy for acquisitions in alignment with the enterprise M&A integration playbook.
Act as the single point of accountability for technology integration readiness, execution, and stabilization.
Support pre-close and post-close activities including Day-1 and Day-100 planning.
Application & Data Integration
Lead integration of core enterprise applications (ERP, billing, asset management, CRM, operational systems).
Define target-state architecture and migration approach (retain, retire, replace, or integrate).
Ensure data migration, master data alignment, and reporting continuity across acquired entities.
Network & Infrastructure Integration
Drive onsite execution of network connectivity, security alignment, and infrastructure integration.
Coordinate integration of identity, access management, cybersecurity controls, and compliance standards.
Partner with infrastructure and security teams to minimize operational disruption.
Playbook Enforcement & Continuous Improvement
Enforce standardized integration templates, checklists, milestones, and governance.
Identify gaps in the playbook and continuously refine it based on lessons learned from each acquisition.
Establish repeatable metrics for integration speed, risk, and business impact.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Work directly with executive sponsors, site leadership, IT teams, and external vendors.
Translate business priorities into executable integration plans.
Provide clear, concise status reporting and risk escalation.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in IT systems integration, with strong exposure to M&A environments.
Proven experience integrating applications, data, and networks in complex, distributed enterprises.
Background in utilities, waste management, energy, or asset-heavy regulated industries strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, integration patterns, and infrastructure fundamentals.
Ability to operate in onsite, execution-heavy roles and drive alignment across multiple teams.
