Position 1: Storage Automation Engineers
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Duration: Long Term
Automation Engineer - Emphasis on the storage domain
Experience – Essential (Must Have)
6+ years experience in programming and scripting (e.g. Python, Go etc
Accomplished Projects related to Infrastructure Automation.
Strong System Administration Skills
Experience with file systems ZFS, XFS, NTFS along with the Enterprise Storage (NAS/SAN)/Data Protection/Backup Technologies
Experience with Ontap API’s
Experience – Good to have
Working knowledge of configuration management – Salt, Ansible
Experience with at least one of the job schedulers such as LSF, SLURM
Some experience at the large-scale data center – 1000+ nodes
In this role the candidate will be performing the following tasks,
Large Scale Data migrations on netapp filers
Performance Based Provisioning.
Cut over and Post Validation.
Storage and Backup Self-Service.
Archive Solution.
Position 2: Automation Engineer - emphasis on windows domain
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Duration: Long Term
Here is the updated JD,
Fluent with atleast both Powershell and Python. Golang proficiency would also be highly preffered.
Experienced with micro-service architectures, design patterns and building distributed applications
Experienced with data modeling and API development (OpenAPI)
Experience with real-time event streaming platforms (Kafka, NATS, etc) and building data pipelines
Proficient with various Git workflow patterns
Experienced with application monitoring (APM), instrumentation, metrics, alerting (Prometheus/Grafana/ELK/etc)
Experience in building CI/CD pipelines
Docker!!! The candidate must know how to package/deploy their code/app/service in containers
Kubernetes experience would be very nice to have
Configuration Management. SaltStack would be highly preferred, but also Ansible, Chef, Puppet would be closely related skills.
Proficient with both Windows and *nix operating systems
IMO, this candidate should be more of a software developer by trade, with experience in developing solutions around infra automation and operations. Versus a candidate that is a skilled infra engineer by trade that knows how to do scripting.
