Job Description:
Rules analyst
Participate in business requirement elicitation sessions with product owners
Document new specifications for in-house built software and communicate business process changes that impact the solution to the rest of the team
Ensure requirements are in compliance with policies and procedures
Analyze system problems and identify opportunities for improvement
Conduct a gap analysis between AS IS and TO BE states of the system
Assist QA team with creating test cases
Minimum 5+ years of Business Analyst experience, preferably in the financial services
Experience developing and maintaining system requirements documentations
Experience writing business rules and maintaining business rules repository
Must be able to prioritize projects based on business value and high attention to detail
Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes and Agile methodologies (Scrum) (Preferred)
Solid experience in writing User Stories and acceptance criteria (Preferred)
Experience mapping business process flow, creating wireframes and mock-ups. (Preferred)
Clear understanding of Rules Architecture and Components.
At least 5 yr(s) of business rules analysis experience, testing, and debugging of Rules Projects and ensures that projects meets or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements.
Understand Business Requirements, participate in Requirements Analysis, design applications based on System Requirements and Architecture, prototype if necessary, develop, unit test and deploy the application.
Performs requirements specification and knowledge-engineering tasks in order to determine and document functional requirements of rule-based systems
Help elicit and drive business process requirements and design solutions.
Ability to drive requirements elicitation by building quick prototypes of process flows and user interfaces to demonstrate functionality and refine requirements
Enforce rule-based application design standards and best practices
Proactively communicates with the development, QA team and management team
Contributes to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organizations Agile project.
Expert in using and managing change management tools, GIT is a plus
Experience with a wide variety of testing tools and techniques, ex. JUnit
Represent the business leadership in an exceptional manner and lead by example
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong communications skills to effectively communicate at different levels of management.
Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
Ability to work both independently and with a team.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Experience in projects executed in offshore and onsite model.
Participates in design, code, and test inspections throughout life cycle to identify issues and ensure methodology compliance.
Participates in systems analysis activities, including system requirements analysis and definition, e.g. prototyping
Performs unit testing and writes appropriate unit test plans to ensure requirements are satisfied.
Develops understanding of client business functions and technology needs.
Interfaces with cross functional teams, including associated Data, UI & Mid-Tier teams.
Complies with IT policies and procedures, especially those for quality and productivity standards that enable the team to meeting established milestones.
