Please send me the resumes to john@technogeninc. com and call me at Position: Splunk Engineer Location: McLean, VA candidate must be local visa status:GC/Citizens/H4EAD, L2EAD, TNvisalt; /p> Work on advanced Splunk development efforts, with a goal towards enhancing/building out the Splunk infrastructure as it relates to application/machine logs, troubleshooting, reporting, custom queries, and dashboards * troubleshoot Splunk server and agent problems and issues * Available for escalations and support operations for Splunk * Monitor the agent and server infrastructure for capacity planning and optimization * Automate processes and procedures where applicable * Research, design, evaluate, recommend and support major hardware and software enhancements * Design, code and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks * Performs other duties as required or assigned Qualifications: * Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience * Minimum of 5 years of experience with Splunk development/administration, installation, configuration, clustering, monitoring, query design, dashboard design * Minimum of 3 years of experience with UNIX/Linux administration/engineering * Experience with scripting (Perl, shell, etc) * Experience with integration/web technologies (use SDKs, REST, JSON, XML, etc) * Experience developing/delivering presentations to management and stakeholders * Experience in SPLUNK, Compuware dynaTrace, UEM, APMaas (Gomez), Foglight and ELK ASP.
