We are looking for an experienced Jira Technical Lead Specialist Engineer to lead enterprise-level Jira administration, configuration, customization, and integration initiatives. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions, streamline workflows, and enhance delivery processes using Atlassian tools including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and related plugins. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on administration expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective Jira and Agile solutions.

Lead the administration, configuration, and optimization of Jira and Confluence for enterprise environments.

Design custom workflows, automation rules, screens, permissions, and issue types based on business needs.

Manage complex Jira projects and integrations with third-party tools such as ServiceNow, Git, Jenkins, and identity management systems.

Develop and maintain Jira automation using scripting tools such as Groovy, ScriptRunner, REST APIs, and webhooks.

Lead migrations, upgrades, and security configuration across Jira Data Center or Cloud environments.

Define governance best practices and maintain system reliability, performance, and scalability.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development and Agile teams.

Create dashboards, reporting solutions, and KPIs for leadership and project stakeholders.

Work closely with Agile/DevOps teams to enhance processes supporting Scrum, Kanban, SAFe or hybrid frameworks.

Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide timely resolutions.

Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to implement new features and plugins.

12+ years of professional experience with strong focus on Atlassian tools administration.

Proven hands-on experience in Jira and Confluence administration and customization at enterprise scale.

Strong experience developing complex workflows, advanced custom fields, triggers, and post-functions.

Experience with ScriptRunner, Groovy scripting, REST API integrations, and automation frameworks.

Working knowledge of DevOps tools such as Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins, Git or similar tools.

Experience with Jira Cloud or Data Center migrations and upgrades.

Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe methodologies.
